Friday App Shout-Out: Black Friday Edition

If you've been out shopping today, hope you managed to make it back in one piece. Myself, I'm staying away from the stores...well, with the exception of the Windows Store, which has a couple of new listings from our intrepid Mid-Atlantic Developers...forthwith, the apps:

FoodGraphic, an app from developer Thomas Woo's Three Screen Studios, leverages the Yelp API to put together a neat app for locating nearby restaurants. Features integrated search functionality, location-based searching and mapping, charts of reviews, and a neat random feature called Restaurant Roulette. Hungry? Take this app for a spin and find something good to eat!

gMaps is the second app from Alexey Strakh's team DreamTeam Mobile, who were featured in an earlier Friday App Shout-out for their app wGuru. gMaps provides an immersive Windows 8 app to view and search Google maps, find directions, and more.

Who's Next?

Would you like to be next? You can get links, videos, and 1:1 technical or design consultation (limited availability, so don't wait) for free at Generation App. Sign up takes only a few seconds, and the resources can help make you the next app rockstar.

Drop me a note if you're working on a Windows 8 app and have questions or need advice.
