Friday App Shout-Out: WorkMan

This week, I had the opportunity to attend the TechBreakfast meetup in our Reston office, run by Ron Schmelzer. While there, I bumped into Nilesh Hegde, creator of WorkMan, a cloud-based Workflow creation tool. Nilesh originally created his WorkMan client using Silverlight, (you can find that version on his website: http://www.theworkman.net/), and has since ported the client over as a Windows Store app.

With a simple drag-and-drop interface that stores workflows in the cloud (signing up for an account is easy, and included as part of the client), this looks to be a useful tool for creating and sharing workflows among teams. Check it out.

Who's Next?

Would you like to be next? You can get links, videos, and 1:1 technical or design consultation (limited availability, so don't wait) for free at Generation App. Sign up takes only a few seconds, and the resources can help make you the next app rockstar.

You can also join me for an upcoming Office Hours, where I can provide 1:1 technical advice on building your app and getting it into the Windows Store.

Drop me a note if you're working on a Windows 8 app and have questions or need advice.
