  • CMAP Give Camp

  • SSWUG Webcast: SQL Server 2008 Auditing

    Ayad Shammout, who is the Principal Consultant for Advanti Solutions, will cover the technical details of the new Auditing feature in SQL Server 2008.
    He will use several demonstrations to show how to leverage the feature in an SQL server environment.

  • CapArea Silverlight Sig - Container Driven Design with Blend - Joel Cochran

    Container Driven Design (CDD) is a GUI layout pattern that maximizes flexibility, speeds view design, and decreases XAML file size. Topics focus on Fixed vs. Fluid Layout, understanding the Star system, using containers effectively, conceptual content areas, and rapid View design. Using Blend we will create several samples and demonstrate a typical implementation of CDD.
    Joel is a Microsoft Expression Blend MVP and an INETA Community Champion. He is also a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in both Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). He is also the author of Manning Publications "Expression Blend in Action: a developer's guide".
    He has been a professional software developer since 1997, specializing in software for local governments. He began as an RPG developer in a large firm and in 2000 moved to his current position in a very small firm. There he has learned Java and Object Oriented Programming but in 2003 switched to C# and .NET which is his current field. His specialty is developing WPF and Silverlight applications using Expression Blend, which he has been doing since version 1.0.
