Over the next several weeks, I'll be holding weekly Office Hours at the Microsoft office in Reston, VA.
What's Office Hours, you ask? Simple, it's a time where I'll be available, in-person, for folks who are working on Windows 8 apps to come by and ask questions, show off apps in progress, and in general get help getting their apps in shape for publishing to the Windows Store. As I ramp up on Windows Phone 8, I'll also be including support for those apps as well...you can bring your Windows Phone 8 app questions...I just may have to do additional research before I can get you an answer.
Office Hours can also be useful as an opportunity for some quiet co-working time, if you find it hard to get quiet coding time done elsewhere.
Here's the schedule for Office Hours through mid-February (all Office Hours will run from 10am-2pm):
If you're planning to attend one of the above dates, it would be very helpful if you can drop me an email via my contact page, or sign up for a slot via one of the URLs in the table above, so that I can manage my time more effectively, and let me know if you're coming to get some questions answered (and a heads-up on the questions will give me some time to do any needed homework) or just to spend some quiet time coding.
Please note that the slot length is subject to change, as I work out the best timing both for attendees and for myself.
For folks who aren't near Reston, I have a couple of suggestions:
I look forward to seeing all the awesome apps folks from Mid-Atlantic are working on, and featuring them in my regular Friday App Shout-out posts.
